For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Extremely Scarce 1938 Parker Vacumatic Maxima Golden Pearl Celluloid Injector Pencil in working condition. This particular Parker Pencil is very scarce for two reasons - 1) it has a Jewelers Cap on a Maxima size Pencil; and, 2) it is a Maxima size Injector type pencil (push the cap to feed the lead.) Parker Injector Pencils are scarce in their own right but add in the fact it is a Maxima Size Parker makes this item very desirable.
The pencil has an injector mechanism - push the cap down and lead will feed forward. The mechanism works to dispense the lead every time and is in working condition. There is a lead in the pencil and still has a gently used eraser.
The color is the Golden Pearl celluloid and very nice coloring. This Parker Injector Pencil is special because of the Jewelers Coin Stack Cap Banding and it is a Maxima size and makes this quite a scarce pencil. The pencil clip and coin stack cap band are gold filled and display no wear. The top jewel is striped to match the rest of the pencil. The lead should be a 0.9mm type lead.
There are no personalizations or monograms on this pencil. The barrel is stamped lightly with some areas fainter than other areas with, "GEO. S. PARKER PARKER MADE IN USA with 8 date code (for 1938) in the 4th Quarter".
This pencil measures 5 1/8" inches in length. It is in Excellent Condition and a rare specimen to add to your writing arsenal collection.
